A line in space is described in two equivalent ways: in parametric form, as a point plus a multiple of a direction vector (“velocity”), or in Cartesian form, as the intersection of two planes. One passes from one to the other by solving or eliminating the parameter.

  • Parametric form of the line
  • Cartesian form of the line
  • Parametric-Cartesian conversion
