Binomial distribution

When we repeat, $n$ times and independently, the same experiment with only two outcomes (“success” with probability $p$, “failure” with probability $1-p$), we are faced with the Bernoulli scheme. The probability of getting exactly $k$ successes is given by the formula of the binomial distribution. This section introduces the scheme, proves the formula and applies it to two examples (biased coin, shooter at a target).
