After looking at absolute value equations, we move on to inequalities. The basic method is the same: splitting into cases according to the sign of the argument. There are, however, also two very effective “shortcuts” when the inequality has a particular form, and it is exactly the one most often encountered in problems. We look at them all, from the general method to the special cases, up to inequalities with two absolute values.
