Just as for numbers there is division with remainder, polynomials too can be divided. Ruffini’s rule makes division by a binomial (x−c)(x-c)(x−c) particularly quick and, when the remainder is zero, it gives us a powerful factorisation technique.

  • Division between polynomials: quotient and remainder
  • Ruffini’s table
  • Factorising with Ruffini’s rule
